Well…
October 25th, 2006
You don’t pay attention for a week, and suddenly everything is topsy-turvy…. I visited rapidshare to upload the new record, and I found this message on my premium account “Unfortunately all drives of RapidShare.de are full right now.” WTF?!?! Are they in trouble? I am paying for an account to upload these records, I hope they don’t fold! Anyone?

This weeks fine taste of sharity is another in the ping-pong series from Spinorama Records. These were, apparently, department store b-grade series, but as with many things, give them time and they become treasures. And, yes, this is the last of the harmonica music for a while. Though this album is credited to Eddy Manson, another of Borrah Minevitch’s students, according to this link, it was actually made by Danny Welton.
Whomever the artist, the LP is well worth a listen. Enjoy!

New posts coming tonight…
October 24th, 2006
Sorry for the delay! Family issues and other things have been taking up a lot of my time lately.
In the meantime here are a few photos I shot at last Friday’s Kaiju Big Battel event at Avalon, in Boston. They should have many more of these posted at the Kaiju site in the next few days, once they finish writing the recap of the event.

I can’t think of a better way to start off a new month than MORE HARMONICA MUSIC!
This week’s fine mouth organ extravaganza is brought to you by another apprentice of Borrah Minevitch and his Harmonica Rascals, Leo Diamond. Certain to have been popular with the stereo early-adopters of the late 50’s, “Exciting Sounds From Romantic Places” is brimming with cars and trains and planes zooming from left to right and back again. Plus, it’s loaded with plenty of crazy sound effects and obscure instruments, making it a sure-to-be hit at your fancy parties. As an added treat, the cover… I have no idea where they found the tripe bathing suit, but come on, amazing… and the look of utter contempt from our bathing beauty, perfect. I can’t imagine who could pass up this fine bargain.
It’s priced to move, so download now.
